Usability - focus on functionality
When we talk about usability with our clients, the conversation is sharply focused on the system’s, website’s, or app’s features and automations. With usability in mind, our goal is to ensure that users can complete their tasks accurately, quickly, and without errors. Naturally, we also consider how to handle potential errors when they do occur.
In other words, we develop systems that account for system status, potential errors, and successful actions — so users experience a smooth and functional interface.

User Interface - the beautiful and engaging exterior
The user interface is often a top priority when we develop digital products. The user interface must be able to contain many aspects: it must reflect the company's visual identity, it must be engaging for users, easy to find and learn for new users, and it must work on different devices.
All of this is contained in the User Interface design, where colours, shapes, fonts, contrasts and the visual hierarchy are mapped.
We can both advise on improvement opportunities for existing solutions (UI audits), and design new ones if your project has not yet been launched.
User Experience - the involvement of real users
When we have designed a UI with a focus on usability, we have implicitly set the stage for the complete user experience in the solution.
Many of the pre-selection can be quite good, well-founded and verified by, for example, expert tests. But the target audience is not necessarily "experts", which is why we never call anything "User Experience design" without having real users involved. It can be done in different ways with different purposes, timeframes, budgets, and resources.

UX sparring and/or tests
If you need input on how to conduct user tests, we can help you. We offer support either through consultation so you can proceed on your own or by conducting the research for you. All we require is that you know who your target audience is.
